Jay Garcia is cofounder of Starshine Design.com and an award winning broadcasting and media professional with experience in radio, television, and communications consulting since 1975. Currently, Jay also works as a web designer, database manager and media consultant for Houston Community College Systems Workforce Development Department. He proudly completed 19 years with ABC Television at KTRK TV in September of 2001. To stay on the leading edge of the technical advances that so greatly impact the communications industry, Mr. Garcia takes advantage of continuing education to advance his skills; he is enrolled in the Web Certification Course at Houston Community College with a GPA of 4.0. Mr. Garcia has developed Starshine Design.com and is active in developing the web design and implementation service.

Mr. Garcia enjoys putting the experience of his his long tenure as Senior Video Editor at Eyewitness News, into practice in new projects. His broadcasting and video background recently served in producing a 30 second Public Service Announcement for the 2003 Gulf Coast Job Expo, sponsored by the City of Houston, The Greater Houston Partnership and eight area community colleges. Jay also completed one of the preferred billboard designs for the Expo marketing campaign. He enjoys using his creative skills and split second News decision instincts in new challenges. An ideal environment for Jay's talent in private industry includes the communication, energy, education, and medical fields. He enjoys developing and involvement in producing innovative packages that convey messages and ideas on the air, the web, in audio and video, in crisp and inviting ways.

Jay has an eye for quality, detail, color and balance, along with a diverse skill set, and can-do attitude. With successful billboards, newsletters, photographs, CD covers, photo restorations, web layout and implementation, and audio / video productions under his belt, Jay's eagerness to take on new challenges with a strong drive for success are sure to be great asset to your media efforts.
