Jay (James) Garcia is an award winning broadcasting and media professional working in radio, television, and communications consulting since 1975. He has proudly completed 19 years with ABC Television at KTRK TV, and now seeks new opportunities. To stay on the leading edge of the technical advances that so greatly impact the communications industry, Mr. Garcia takes advantage of continuing education to advance his skills; he is presently enrolled in the Web Certification Course at Houston Community College with a GPA of 4.0. Mr.Garcia has developed Starshine Design.com and is active in developing the web design and implementation service.

Mr. Garcia is justifiably proud of his tenure as Senior Video Editor at Eyewitness News. Ready for new challenges, he is enthusiastic about opportunities that include more digital and nonlinear exposure. He looks forward to using his creative and visual skills and split second News decision instincts in new environments.Jay hopes to find productive employment in web, broadcasting and / or nonlinear media production. An ideal environment in private industry includes the communication, energy, education, and medical fields.
